Geographic Information Systems (GIS) manages city-wide spatial databases (maps) for the City of Racine. A geographic information system is a system designed to create, store, analyze, manage, and present all types of geographical data.
GIS staff create user-friendly applications for both internal staff, residents, and visitors. We manage various datasets within the city’s jurisdiction including tax parcels, street centerlines, imagery, utility data, planning, and zoning layers. We strive to maintain accurate data to increase efficiency, save time, and inform decisions makers.
The GIS Hub is the central location for the City of Racine’s maps and map data. Its purpose is to provide a simple and convenient way for users to access these mapping resources. Some maps are categorized (transportation, districts, parks, etc.) and we also offer other resources.
