What We Do

The Housing Division works to improve housing opportunities, strengthen neighborhoods, and support community development throughout the City of Racine. Through the administration of federal housing and community development funds, the Division partners with residents, developers, nonprofit organizations, and other City departments to preserve and expand quality housing opportunities for Racine residents.

The Housing Division administers programs funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). These resources support affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, public services, homeless assistance, and community development activities throughout the City.
