The city wants to ensure everyone is cyber secure. For employees who use our systems, they must take cybersecurity training every six months. They are also tested monthly. If they fail the testing they must attend additional training. Your family and/or business should take similar steps. Below are trusted sites with data on Cybersecurity.

  • Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency – https://www.cisa.gov/resources-tools/resources/free-cybersecurity-services-and-tools – Free cybersecurity services and tools, resources for high-risk communities, Shields Up (various guidance information for families, organizations, corporate leaders and CEO), Secure Our World (easy ways to protect yourself, family and business), Secure by Design (working to ensure all products are secure by design). A part of the US Department of Homeland Security.
  • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) – https://www.nist.gov/cybersecurity – cybersecurity standards, guidelines, best practices, frameworks, and basic short videos on Ransomware, Phishing, etc. Part of the US Department of Commerce.
  • SANS Institute – https://www.sans.org/ – provided worldwide cybersecurity training, certification, and degrees for or to become a cybersecurity practitioner.
