Plumbing Permits

A Homeowner wishing to do their own plumbing or electrical work in their home must first obtain a permit from this office.

The following is a list of some of the more common items that require permits. this list does not include all of the projects that require permits, but is intended to cover the more common items.

Plumbing Permits
  • New buildings, additions & alterations.
  • Water heaters (gas or electric).
  • Dishwashers new or replacement.
  • Fixture replacement (sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, garbage disposals etc.).
  • Street opening permits.
  • Lawn sprinkler systems.
Plumbing Plan Review

At the discretion of the Chief Plumbing Inspector, a plumbing plan shall be submitted for all new installations, additions and alterations to drain system, vent system or water supply system involving eleven or more plumbing fixtures to be installed in public buildings or eleven or more fixtures in one- or two-family dwellings.
