City of Racine Announces Expanded Spring Leaf Collection
The City of Racine Department of Public Works will conduct an expanded Spring Leaf Collection this season, giving residents an additional opportunity to dispose of leaves and yard debris following a fall collection that ended early due to snowfall.
Residents may place leaves and other eligible yard waste at the curb for collection during the program period. This expanded effort is intended to help clear materials that accumulated over the winter months.
Leaf collection also supports Racine’s stormwater management efforts. Removing leaves from streets helps prevent storm drain blockages and reduces the amount of nutrients, such as phosphorus and nitrogen, that enter local waterways.
Residents can find the collection schedule, program guidelines, and preparation instructions on the City’s Seasonal Leaf Collection webpage.
Because collection schedules may change due to weather and operational conditions, residents are encouraged to check the webpage for the most up-to-date information.
