City of Racine Spring Leaf Collection
March 31 – April 11, 2025
The City of Racine Department of Public Works will conduct Spring Leaf Collection beginning Monday, March 31, 2025, through Friday, April 11, 2025.
During this time, residents may place leaves, yard waste, and bundled branches into the street gutters following the guidelines below.
What Will Be Collected
- Loose Leaves
- Yard Waste (grass clippings, garden debris)
- Bundled branches that are:
- No greater than 3 inches in diameter
- No longer than 4 feet in length
- Tied with string or twine
What Will NOT Be Collected
- Leaves or yard waste in bags or containers
- Yard waste in alleys
- Piles with parked cars on top
Collection Schedule
Place your items in the street gutter before your scheduled collection day.

Important Reminders
- Do not place leaves or yard waste in alleys.
- Do not use bags or containers.
- Once collection is complete, all remaining yard waste must be taken to the Pearl Street Facility at 9th & Pearl Street.
