The City of Racine is pleased to announce extended hours at Zoo Beach.
The City of Racine’s Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services (PRCS) Board is dedicated to protecting, preserving, maintaining, improving, and enhancing Racine’s natural and recreational resources.
The PRCS Board oversees:
We work to ensure that Racine residents have access to safe, well-maintained, and vibrant spaces that support health, wellness, community connection, and environmental stewardship.
🌳 Forestry
Our Forestry Division manages approximately 28,000 trees located along city streets, in parks, and on public grounds.There are over 10,000 additional sites where a tree can be planted.
🏞️ Open Space & Parks
These open spaces serve as the heart of our neighborhoods—places to gather, play, relax, and connect with nature.
🏠 Community Centers
Racine is home to five community centers, each one a welcoming hub for residents of all ages. These centers support year-round programming that fosters learning, recreation, creativity, and community engagement.
💰 Investing in Our Future
In 2022 alone, the City of Racine will invest over $5 million in capital improvement projects within our parks. This reflects our strong belief that well-maintained public spaces are essential to a thriving, inclusive, and connected community.
