Beach Information
North Beach offers beautiful views year round and offers a number of recreational activities to enjoy for the entire family. During the warmer months, activities include swimming, biking, picnicking, and beach volleyball. While warmer months allow for a variety of recreational activities, the beach is perfect for running/walking, biking, and photography any time of year.

Lifeguards & Swim Safety in Racine
At Racine’s North Beach and Zoo Beach, our lifeguards are one of our most important amenities, keeping families safe while making sure everyone has fun in the sun.
They undergo intensive lake training to handle the unique challenges of Lake Michigan swimming
The 2025 guarded swim season runs June – August.
Lifeguards are on duty daily—10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at North Beach and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Zoo Beach.
Outside these hours, swim safely and be mindful of water conditions.
