WisDOT Construction – WIS 31: Green Bay Road, between WIS11 (Durand Ave) and WIS 20 (Washington Ave) in the city of Racine and the village of Mount Pleasant
The WIS 31 project will reconstruct 1.5 miles of roadway in Racine and Mount Pleasant, improving pavement, safety, and pedestrian access. Upgrades include new sidewalks, medians, widened shoulders, and traffic signal replacements, with a slight realignment near Castle Court. Construction will occur in 2026–2027 with some lane and side-street closures, but access to businesses and homes will remain open. All Road Construction for 2025 has been completed. After the 2026 Budget is approved, we will complete our planning for next year and update this page with those new locations and details.
