Holiday Schedule Changes Add Extra Disposal Opportunities for Residents
To accommodate the Independence Day holiday schedule, the City of Racine is adjusting operating days for its Transfer Station and Pearl Street Yard Waste Facility.
Transfer Station (Bulky Waste)
The Transfer Station, 6300 21st Street, which is normally open on Fridays, will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of the holiday. To provide residents with an opportunity to dispose of bulky waste before the holiday weekend, the facility will instead be open Monday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Pearl Street Yard Waste Facility
The Pearl Street Yard Waste Facility, 801 Pearl Street, which is normally open on Saturdays, will be closed Saturday, July 4. An additional service day has been added, and the facility will be open on Wednesday, July 1, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Residents planning to dispose of bulky waste or yard waste are encouraged to take advantage of these adjusted hours before the holiday.
