Young Artists Invited to Enter the City of Racine’s 2027 Calendar Art Contest

Students in Grades K–8 Encouraged to Showcase Their Creativity Through Financial Literacy-Themed Artwork

The City of Racine is inviting young artists to participate in the 2027 Calendar Art Contest, offering students the opportunity to have their artwork featured in the City’s annual calendar while promoting financial literacy.

The contest is open to students in kindergarten through eighth grade who either attend a school in the Racine Unified School District or reside within the City of Racine.

This year’s artwork should reflect a financial literacy theme. Students are encouraged to create original artwork inspired by topics such as:

  • Saving money
  • Budgeting
  • Banking
  • Credit
  • Homeownership
  • Building wealth
  • Financial goals
  • Getting out of debt
  • Money management
  • Retirement planning

Winning artists and their families will be recognized at a special celebration where the selected artwork will be displayed and prizes awarded.

Artwork Requirements

Artwork submissions must:

  • Feature a financial literacy theme.
  • Be the student’s original work.
  • Include text in either English or Spanish, if applicable.
  • Be created on an 8½” × 11″ sheet of paper in landscape (horizontal) orientation.

Completed artwork and entry forms must be submitted no later than September 15, 2026, to:
