Alderman Rocco DeMark was elected in Racine’s 12th District in April 2026. A Racine native, he attended Racine Unified schools, graduating from Park High School. He advanced his education by attending Gateway Technical College and Pennsylvania College of Technology, where he earned multiple licenses in power engineering and refrigeration.

Rocco has served at the Racine Unified School District since 2011 and is currently a Head (building) Engineer. Every day, Rocco helps keep our schools safe, clean, and running well for students and staff.

Rocco was elected as a leader for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU WI) Wisconsin, where he works with school district leaders on issues that affect the health and safety of staff and students. Rocco has served his fellow Racine citizens as a member of the Community Development Block Grant Committee, helping support projects that improve our neighborhoods.

Rocco believes in finding solutions. He works collaboratively with others to create a plan and get the job done. He sees the potential that Racine holds and wants to be part of positive change for the city.
