Park Information
Johnson Park Dog Run is an excellent place to take your furry friend! This 17-acre wetland adjacent to the Root River is a beautiful area for dogs to run freely. Please note the area is not fenced in. A gravel parking lot immediately off HWY 38 is available. A pathway through the park will lead you to wooded and open areas

General Rules
- Respect private property: Do not trespass on neighboring land or farm fields.
- Practice guns are prohibited
Dog Park Rules
- Only dogs allowed – no other animals.
- Dogs must be:
- Over 6 months old
- Not in heat
- Owners must:
- Stay in the park with their dogs
- Maintain voice control and have a leash on hand
- Leash dogs when entering/exiting off-leash area
- Clean up dog waste and take trash with them
Safety Rules
- Children under 12 must be closely supervised by an adult.
- Strongly discouraged: Bringing young children to the dog park for safety.
- Not allowed in the dog park:
- Food or treats (for humans or dogs)
- Alcohol
- Strollers
- Children’s toys
