As a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) entitlement community, the City of Racine receives annual allocations of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and HOME InvestmentThe action or process of investing money for profit or material result. Partnerships Program (HOME) funds to develop vibrant urban communities through the support of various eligible activities. Moreover, the grant funds are used to improve housing quality, living environments, and economic opportunities, especially for low- and moderate-income individuals.
