PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE AND DISCLAIMER CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE (THE “SITE”). BY USING THIS SITE, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. THE CITY OF RACINE (THE “CITY”) RESERVES THE RIGHT, AT ANY TIME, TO MODIFY, ALTER, OR UPDATE THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AND YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY SUCH MODIFICATIONS, ALTERATIONS, OR UPDATES.
PURPOSE
The Mission of the City’s website is to engage all audiences in the greater Racine community with content-rich, innovative, easily-navigated, aesthetically pleasing pages; to provide e-government services, serve as a community focal point, and embody the City’s values and image. The City’s site is a nonpublic forum created by the City for purposes of providing information to the public regarding the City’s official actions and services. The City has not allowed any outside entity to use, publish upon or edit the site.

- Accuracy
Changes are made periodically to many City documents, including municipal codes, charter sections, regulations, guidelines, and schedules, and these changes may or may not be reflected in the materials of information present on the City’s site. In the event of a difference between the information on this site and official information available at City offices, the official information should prevail. Additionally, because the site is frequently under development, materials and information may be modified or moved to a different part of the site without advance notice. - Notices of Public Hearings
When the City places notices of items on this site, such as a schedule for upcoming public meetings or hearings, it does so only to facilitate public access to such information, as a supplement to the legally required methods of posting notices. - Email to City Officers and Employees
Persons submitting email comments or questions to the City or to City officials or employees should be aware that the City cannot guarantee, nor does it represent that such communications will remain private or confidential. Similar to mailed or delivered comments, comments received via email may become subject to public disclosure under Wisconsin’s Public Records Laws (Wis. Stats. §§ 19.31–19.39) or pursuant to a court order. Personal contact information supplied by a member of the public as part of such comments, such as a mailing/home address or email address, may be subject to disclosure under the Wisconsin’s Public Records Laws (Wis. Stats. §§ 19.31–19.39) or pursuant to a court order. - Email Comments on Public Hearings
Comments on public hearing items which are submitted by email will NOT automatically become part of the official record of such proceedings, unless required by law. Persons wishing to comment on public hearing items should attend the public hearing and express themselves in person at the hearing, or if the notice of a particular hearing allows written comments, then comments may be submitted in that manner. - Links to Other Websites
Links from the City’s site to other websites on the internet do not constitute an endorsement of the City of Racine. When users select a link to an outside website, they are leaving the City’s site and are subject to the privacy and security policies of the owners/sponsors of the external linked-to website. The City is not responsible for the content, quality, or accuracy of any off-site materials referenced or linked through the City’s site. By using the City’s site, the user acknowledges and accepts that the City is not responsible for any materials stored on other internet sites, nor is the City liable for any inaccurate, defamatory, offensive, or illegal materials found on other internet sites, and that the risk of injury from viewing, hearing, downloading, or storing such materials rests entirely with the user. The City does not exercise any editorial control over the information you may find at these locations, and disclaims any and all liability for and knowledge of their contents.
